Building rule vs owner permission: what is the difference?
Two labels that look similar but give tenants very different levels of certainty.

Building rule
The building's regulations allow pets, so the same rules apply to every unit.
- Stable: changing the rule needs a co-owners' resolution
- Often comes with pet lifts, wash areas or pet parks
- Ask the building office for the latest regulations
Owner permission
The unit owner agrees, but the building rules may be silent or unclear.
- Check the building rules yourself to avoid complaints later
- Write the terms into the lease
- Common for houses without a juristic person
